Princess Goes — made up of actor Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under), Matt Katz-Bohen (Blondie) and Pedro Yanowitz (The Wallflowers, Morningwood) — join Kyle Meredith to go deep on the band’s latest album, Come of Age (out October 6th).

The band calls in for a chat about how the accidental formation of the group informed their musical direction. “We didn’t mean to form a band,” Hall explains.

“We’ve been writing since we started, about five years ago, and we just focused mainly on writing because we were having so much fun,” Katz-Bohen adds. “That’s how we all initially got together, like, ‘Hey, let’s make music as friends.'”

The trio also touches on balancing their experimental inclinations with crafting a set of songs ready for the radio. Hall then goes on to explain the mythical lyrics behind several of the tracks, how the song “Glasswing” came out of an internal argument, and why their latest record makes for great driving music.
