Michael B Jordan Joins David O Russell Drama With Margot Robbie, Christian Bale

Michael B. Jordan is the latest to join the cast of David O. Russell’s next film, which currently stars Margot Robbie and Christian Bale, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

The project is set up at New Regency, which will produce and distribute through their deal with 20th Century Studios. Matthew Budman will produce. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it was previously reported that it would follow the unlikely partnership between a doctor and a lawyer.

Russell is writing and directing the new feature based on his own original idea. The project will will be his first movie since 2015’s “Joy” starring Jennifer Lawrence. Bale and Russell previously worked together on “The Fighter” and “American Hustle.”

Jordan most recently starred as civil rights lawyer Bryan Stevenson in the Warner Bros. drama “Just Mercy.” Next up, he will shoot “Journal for Jordan” from director by Denzel Washington, which Jordan is also producing through his production company, Outlier Society.

He can next be seen in “Without Remorse” alongside “Queen & Slim” breakout star Jodie Turner Smith, which is based on a Tom Clancy novel and is being written by Taylor Sheridan.

Jordan is repped by WME and attorney Greg Slewett.
