Michael Avenatti and Anthony Scaramucci agree on Michael Cohen’s future

Stormy Daniels’s attorney, Michael Avenatti, and former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci joined The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, where they couldn’t agree on much of anything. There’s been a rumor swirling recently that the pair are going to co-host a political talk show — which makes perfect sense, given the amount of time each spends as a guest on cable news shows — and they couldn’t even agree on whether there’s any validity to those rumors.

“I don’t have a lot of rules in my life, but one of the rules is that I never do a show with a guy whose first name is The,” said Avenatti, referring to Scaramucci’s nickname, “The Mooch.” Scaramucci followed that by saying, “See, I actually thought we were doing a show, and it was gonna be the male version of Thelma and Louise. That’s what I thought, but I don’t know.”

The only thing they could truly agree on was the rough road ahead for longtime Trump attorney Michael Cohen. Both believe he’ll be indicted in the near future. Scaramucci, who is friends with Cohen, said, “I would say that he’s likely to be indicted, and typically these cases take … 10 to 12 weeks. He’s in the ninth week of the situation.” Avenatti, who is a constant thorn in Cohen’s side, took it a step further: “There’s no question in my mind that he’s going to be indicted, and there’s no question in my mind that he’s gonna try to flip on the president. I think that Michael Cohen is in a very, very bad spot. And I think the president is in a very, very bad spot, because this is what happens when you trust your innermost secrets to a moron.”
