MGM Production Co-Presidents Cassidy Lange & Adam Rosenberg Exit

Deadline has confirmed that MGM co-Presidents of Production, Cassidy Lange and Adam Rosenberg are leaving the studio after a nine-year run there.

I understand that it was amicable departure, and that they asked to be let out of their contracts. Both are segueing to producer roles.

The news comes in the wake of Michael De Luca taking the reigns of MGM as Chairman of the Motion Picture Group this year, followed by Pam Abdy landing the top production post as Deadline first told. In addition, recently, MGM cut its staff by 7% during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lange joined MGM in 2011 as a senior vp development and production, and worked on studio films like Me Before You, the Tomb Raider reboot starring Alicia Vikander, the Overboard remake, and last year’s animated take on The Addams Family. She also worked on the upcoming James Bond movie, No Time to Die, directed by Cary Fukunaga, and was also working on a sequel to Addams Family.

Lange first served as SVP of development and production and worked on Me Before You, the Alicia Vikander vehicle Tomb Raider, The Addams Family, Overboard, and the upcoming No Time to Die.

Rosenberg also arrived to MGM in 2011 as SVP, production from Spyglass. The titles he worked on during his tenure included the Creed franchise, Magnificent Seven, Skyfall, Spectre ,the Dwayne Johnson production Fighting With My Family, the upcoming Candyman reboot and the Eric Andre produced Bad Trip.
