Mexican Pop Star Kenia OS Gets Spooky Payback in ‘Ojo x Ojo’ Video

Bates Motel has nothing on Kenia OS’ Pink Motel. On Thursday, the Mexican pop star released her new single “Ojo x Ojo,” or “eye for eye,” and its Halloween-themed video which sees the singer getting some killer revenge.
“I made it so my fans can feel empowered. The video is incredible and it has a Halloween theme to it,” Kenia said in a press release. The track was produced by JonTheProducer and is a taste of Kenia’s “new sonic chapter and her forthcoming studio album.”

The Daniel Eguren-directed video sees Kenia OS inside a motel on Halloween as she enters a classic diner after showing off her superpowers: Her nails can shoot fire. The visual jumps to show Kenia seducing and dancing for a hottie in her hotel room before her powers kick. A floating knife hovers before Kenia is seen dragging the guy’s seemingly dead body to the motel pool.
From inside the empty pool, she sings along to the lyrics about never wanting to see a lover again: “I don’t even want to see you in a painting/I erased you from my phone already.” The visual flashes to show numerous bodies dead at the bottom of the pool.
“Ojo X Ojo” follows the release of her single “Lovelove U” in August and “Año Sabático” in July. She also joined Boza on “Ocean” and Thalía on “Para No Verte Más” earlier this year. Last year, she released her first two albums: Cabios de Luna, in March, and later, K23, which featured breakthrough “Malas Decisiones,” in October.
