Met Gala 2024 First-Timers: Karol G, Mike Faist, Ayo Edebiri More

Some of our favorite celebrities were first-timers at the 2024 Met Gala and made their debuts in style, showcasing elegant looks on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Stars were out in force in New York to celebrate the 2024 Met Gala theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” with looks fitting the dress code of the evening, “The Garden of Time.”

The theme was chosen in line with the Costume Institute’s new exhibit which is celebrating stunning pieces from times gone by, some of which are too delicate to ever be worn again. That meant we saw lots of stunning archival pieces that paid tribute to nature on the Met Gala red carpet this year.

This year, some new faces joined other regular Met Gala attendees, like Kim Kardashian. One of these newbies was Chris Hemsworth who was not only attending for the very first time, he was also one of this year’s celebrity co-chairs. Hemsworth joined Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Jennifer Lopez to greet other guests.

Another new face was Mike Faist, who starred alongside Zendaya in her new hit movie, Challengers. Other first timers included Ayo Edebiri, Karol G and many more.
