Met Gala 2023: Karlie Kloss Debuts Baby Bump, Is Expecting Baby No. 2 Husband Joshua Kushner

Mom of two! Karlie Kloss and her husband, Joshua Kushner, are expecting their second child, a source confirms to Us Weekly.

Kloss, 30, debuted her baby bump at the 2023 Met Gala on Monday, May 1, where she stepped out in a black velvet gown with pearl accents. The supermodel completed her look with a sleek high pony as she cradled her growing belly.

“Karlie has only told a few close friends about this pregnancy, she and Joshua are so excited to be expanding their family,” a source tells Us of the Missouri native and Kushner, 37. “Karlie is relieved that everyone will know now.”

Ahead of the baby news, Kloss and Kushner celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in October 2022.

“Love you more every day. Happy four years JK,” the Project Runway host gushed about her husband via Instagram.

Us Weekly originally broke the news in November 2012 that the couple – who welcomed their son in March 2021 – were dating.

“They are really cute together,” the source exclusively told Us at the time.

More than one year later, the duo made their first official public appearance as a couple at the Robin Hood Foundation Gala in New York City. They hit another milestone in January 2014 when the businessman made his debut on the model’s Instagram, noting that Kushner is “usually behind the camera.”

After nearly six years of dating, Kloss and Kushner took to social media to announce that they were engaged.

“I love you more than I have words to express. Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate,” the Illinois native wrote on Instagram alongside a cute photo of the couple. “I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over 💍.”

In October 2018, the pair tied the knot in an intimate ceremony held in upstate New York.

“I married my best friend ❤️,” the New Jersey native captioned a wedding photo of the twosome via Instagram.

That same year, Kloss explained to Porter magazine why she and the investor had been so secretive about their romance.

“It’s not like I’ve ever wanted to be so secretive about my private life,” she shared at the time. “Carolina Herrera always says, ‘A woman who’s an open book is boring.’ There’s no mystery anymore. I know in my life what really matters to me. I’m not trying to hide that from the world; I just really like having a more private life. I’ve got nothing to hide, though!”

Nearly a year later, in June 2019, the newlyweds held a second wedding ceremony at the Brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming. The twosome were subsequently ready to start a family. In October 2020, multiple sources confirmed to Us that the couple were expecting their first child.

Kloss and Kushner had "been trying to have a baby for a few months now,” an insider revealed at the time. “Karlie wouldn’t mind hosting Project Runway while she’s pregnant. They think this is the right time.”

In March 2021, the couple welcomed their son, however, Kloss did not reveal the name of her baby until a month later.

“Levi Joseph 💙3.11.21,” the former Victoria’s Secret Angel wrote alongside a photo of her holding her son’s hand with the ring “Mama.”

Five months after Levi’s arrival, Kloss showed off her post-baby body for the first time on social media.

“Oh hey ABS!,” the NYU alum captioned an August 2021 Instagram Story selfie. “Fancy seeing you here. Worked hard for youu.”
