Meryl Streep is making Golden Globe Awards history.

Streep, 74, received her record 33rd-career nomination for a Golden Globe when she was nominated for best supporting actress (musical, comedy or drama) for her role in Hulu's Only Murders in the Building at the awards show's upcoming 81st ceremony on Monday.

According to the Globes' official website, Streep set the record as the most-nominated actor of all time when she received her 30th nomination. She is also the actor with the most all-time wins at the Globes, having won nine total.

At the upcoming 2024 Golden Globes, Streep is nominated alongside Elizabeth Debicki (The Crown), Abby Elliott (The Bear) Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets) J. Smith-Cameron (Succession) and Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso).

Streep was most recently recognized with the ceremony's Cecil B. DeMille award during 2017's ceremony, where she memorably criticized then-President-elect Donald Trump, although she never mentioned him by name.

Foster, 61, is nominated alongside Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer), Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), Julianne Moore (May December), Rosamund Pike (Saltburn) and Da'Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers) in best supporting actress in a movie for Nyad, in which she costars with best actress (drama) nominee Annette Bening.

The awards show added two new categories this year: cinematic and box office achievement in motion pictures and best stand-up comedian on television. January's awards show will mark the Golden Globes' first air date under Dick Clark Productions and holding company Eldridge, which purchased the rights and assets to the long-running awards show in June.

The Golden Globes were previously ran by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which was founded in 1943 and faced a number of high-profile controversies related to its handling of the show in recent years.

The 2024 Golden Globe Awards will air live on CBS Sunday, Jan. 7, from 8 to 11 p.m. ET, directly after an NFL on CBS Sunday doubleheader. The show will also stream on Paramount+ and be available on the CBS app.
