Meryl Streep, Amy Schumer, Other Stars Criticize Donald Trump’s ‘Locker Room Talk’ in New Video
Meryl Streep, Amy Schumer, Lena Dunham, and Rose McGowan are among the celebrities who are appearing in a new video from director Liz Garbus called “Not Okay” that challenges Donald Trump’s characterization of his comments on a 2005 “Access Hollywood” recording as “locker room talk.”
Also appearing in the video, from the independent expenditure group Humanity for Hillary, are Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez, Sarah Sophie Flicker, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Sarah Jones, Martha Plimpton, and Amber Tamblyn,
The video starts with testimonials from woman and teenagers who have experienced groping, sexual harassment, and sexual assault, intercut with footage from the “Access Hollywood” video, in which Trump makes lewd and vulgar comments and makes boasts about his behavior.
Trump has said that he regrets making the remarks, but denies that he has ever committed sexual assault.
Humanity for Hillary was co-founded by Laura Dawn, producer Sarah Sophie Flicker, and the group Art Not War, with Diane English as adviser. Among those backing the effort are the groups Humanity for Progress — led by English and tech entrepreneur Chuck Parrish — and Creatives for Humanity, which includes Geraldine Laybourne, the Nickelodeon creator and former Oxygen CEO; producer and journalist Adaora Udoji; and TED executive Juliet Blake.
