Merrin Dungey Weds Los Angeles Radio DJ Kevin Ryder on New Year’s Eve

Merrin Dungey celebrated the new year in a big way — by getting married.

The Alias and Shining Vale actress wed Los Angeles radio DJ Kevin Ryder on Dec. 31, according to separate posts on Instagram shared by the couple that feature a photo of their wedding ceremony.

In the photo, Dungey is wearing a short, strapless wedding gown with a train and royal blue heels. Ryder is wearing a blue suit (sans tie) with white sneakers.

Dungey captioned her post “❤️Mr and Mrs Ryder❤️ #123123,” while Ryder posted “Happiest of New Years ❤️ #love #marriage #family #newyear.” They each tagged their spouse in their posts.

Dungey announced her engagement to Ryder in a February 2023 Instagram post, showing off her ring in a photo with the caption “Looks like we’re gonna Ryder die. 💕”

Dungey and Ryder have reportedly been dating since August 2021. Prior to that, she was a frequent guest on Ryder’s former radio show on Los Angeles-based FM station KROQ.

Ryder worked at KROQ for more than 30 years, and is most well known for co-hosting the morning show with Gene “Bean” Baxter until the latter left in 2019 to move to England. Ryder continued hosting the morning show until the entire team was let go in a shocking move in March 2020. He currently co-hosts the afternoon radio show on KLOS-FM alongside former KROQ DJ Doug “Sluggo” Roberts.

Ryder was previously married to Melissa Ryder, with whom he shares twin daughters. Dungey was previously married to Matthew Drake, with whom she shares two daughters.

Dungey’s other credits include Big Little Lies, for which she and the cast were nominated for a SAG Award for best performance by an ensemble in a drama series. Her other credits include the TV series The King of Queens, The Fix, The Resident, Conviction and Summerland.
