Mercedes-Benz Evolution Tour: Alabama Shakes, Young The Giant, Mayer Hawthorne To Headline

Mercedes-Benz is set to bring its brand new MB Evolution Tour to the road this month, the company announced today (July 1). Alabama Shakes, Young The Giant and Mayer Hawthorne will each headline shows during the invitation-only, nine city U.S. trek, which launches July 24 in New York and which will also include local artists as opening acts.

Billboard.com hosts the official hub for the Evolution Tour, which launches today at MBevolutiontour.com, and has produced a custom video series featuring the three headliners each recreating one of their songs.  The hub includes a wealth of Evolution Tour information: details about all nine tour stops, how to win tickets to the shows and curated artist spotlights, as well as post-concert coverage.

Alabama Shakes will headline the tour’s July 24 kickoff at New York’s Terminal 5. That show will also feature a special DJ set by The Roots’ Questlove.

In addition to music at each of the nine stops — New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. — attendees will also have the chance to walk the black carpet, view tour art by Mr. Brainwash, and more.
