Memphis restaurant Supperclub on 2nd is reopening with Chef Tam, live music and more

One of Memphis’ top restaurants, Supperclub on 2nd, is reopening.

The Downtown eatery, which paused operations in December and suffered a frozen pipe in January, is set for a spring relaunch on March 28, which its owners are dubbing the “Grand Redeaux.”

As part of its reopening, Supperclub on 2nd, located at 85 S. Second St., has also announced a new executive chef: Tamra Patterson, who is well-respected in both local and national culinary circles.

“Joining a winning team at Supperclub on 2nd is an exciting addition to my personal brand, and exciting for the City of Memphis," said Patterson, who is known as "Chef Tam."

Patterson added that her “experience as a business owner and chef perfectly complements what they’ve done with [Supperclub on 2nd]. I can’t wait to make more magic happen in the heart of Downtown Memphis.”

Patterson closed her Memphis restaurant, Chef Tam's Underground Cafe, on Feb. 7. She also closed her restaurants in Texas and Rhode Island.

With the reopening in late March, the Memphis restaurant will offer dinner service Thursday through Saturday, with brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Weekly food specials will be backed by a selection of rotating specialty craft cocktails.

Supperclub on 2nd also announced that it will host live music from 7-9 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, as well as a Jazz Brunch from 1-3 p.m., on Sunday. DJs sets are also planned — music will include an “eclectic mix of funk, jazz, Afrobeats, and more” — on Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 9, as well as Sundays after 3 p.m.
