This Memphis brewery lands on list of Best Airport Bars in US
Memphis Made Brewing Co.’s bar in the Memphis International Airport ranks No. 2 among the nation's best airport bars, according to a list released Friday by USA TODAY.
The Memphis craft brewery’s airport bar finished second in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. Memphis Made Brewing Co. beat out other airport bars from across the country and was one of two Tennessee spot to make the list. Tootsie's Orchid Lounge in the Nashville International Airport (BNA) is ranked third.
USA TODAY's description notes: “A local brewery with an airport location, Memphis Made Brewing Co. at Memphis International Airport stands as a proud ambassador of the city's craft beer scene. Committed to showcasing the city's culture through its craft brews, expert Meg St-Esprit is enthusiastic with praise, 'As far as craft beer goes, theirs was excellent — and it was a great welcome to the city.'"
Memphis Made co-founders Andy Ashby and Drew Barton said they are honored to be on this list.
"When we started Memphis Made Brewing ten years ago, we really wanted to represent the city in a positive light," Ashby said. "Having our airport restaurant recognized nationally is another step towards that goal. It's a real honor and we're glad people really seem to enjoy that location."
Memphis Made opened its airport bar in 2022.
The 10 airport bars were voted on by USA TODAY readers as the best in the U.S. for serving stellar drinks in relaxed atmospheres.
