Marvin Velazquez, 42, has spent three stints in the U.S., most recently for 15 years working construction in Mississippi, before being deported back to his home country of Honduras earlier this year. After a few months, he heard about the migrant caravans on Facebook and decided to try his luck re-entering the U.S. with his girlfriend and her 7-year-old daughter. “We might get stopped at the border for three or four months, but they always let you go, eventually,” he said.
