Melissa Gorga ‘Never’ Thought Teresa Giudice Feud Threatened Her Place on RHONJ

Are you ready for Season 14 of Real Housewives of New Jersey? I am, especially since fans are being promised something different than the Gorga – Giudice family feud. During the Season 13 reunion, Teresa Giudice cut ties with her brother Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga.

However, Teresa and Melissa still filmed together even though they didn’t speak. Instead, shifting friendships will generate most of the drama this season. Jackie Goldschnieder had a falling out with Melissa and Margaret Josephs and became friends with Teresa. But Rachel Fuda is tight with Melissa, as is Danielle Cabral. As you may recall, Danielle was on Team Teresa last season.

After the Season 13 RHONJ reunion, there was speculation that either Melissa or Teresa might be fired so that the show could move on. But both returned when it was time for the cameras to go up.

Melissa never feared that she would lose her RHONJ job

When asked if Melissa felt that her divide with Teresa endangered her job, she had a surprising response. “No, never felt that way. And I never refused to not speak to her,” Melissa told E! News. “I just thought it’s a dead end. We’re not getting anywhere.” She continued, “I feel confident enough to be in a room with whoever Bravo is going to put in the room with me and be in my own lane.”

Instead of dealing with the infamous family feud, Melissa is focused on her husband, Joe, and their three teenagers. “We’re a family that can stand on our own without going to the deep, dark place. So that’s kind of what I value for me and my family on the show,” Melissa explained.

The Envy boutique owner felt like Season 14 was easier for her. “It’s such a different season and it’s refreshing, especially for me. I just feel there’s like a weight lifted off my shoulders not to have that family drama be the center of it all,” she said.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres May 5 at 8/7c on Bravo.
