The Spice Girls reunion isn’t over just yet - Mel B has promised to bring the full line-up, including Victoria Beckham, to Glastonbury for the festival’s 50th anniversary.

Mel B - full name Melanie Brown - is currently on a reunion tour with her former bandmates the Spice Girls, but with one notable exception.

Although Geri Horner, Mel C and Emma Bunton were all keen to perform together again, the foursome were unable to convince Beckham to get back on board.

But now, in an interview with The Mail on Sunday’s Event magazine, Brown has vowed to get all five women back on stage together for the first time since the London 2012 Olympic closing ceremony.

Asked about Beckham not signing up to the current tour, Brown was typically blunt: “Victoria is Victoria. She didn’t want to do it. She missed out.

“But my plan is for all five of us to do Glastonbury next year for the 50th anniversary. I’m in the process of persuading Victoria to do it. And I will make it happen.”

It’s unclear whether the Spice Girls have officially been booked for Glastonbury 2020, but they would certainly be a big draw for many as their reunion tour has been selling out huge venues.

However, Brown could have a job on her hands getting the group back to five, as Beckham recently explained to Vogue Germany that reuniting was a firm no from her.

She said: “It took me a lot of courage not to go on tour with the Spice Girls again, but to be the one who says, ‘You know, I’m not doing it because things feel different now than they used to.’

“I’d rather concentrate on my family and my company.

“I’m 45 now and very happy to be the woman I am… I’m not trying to change, I want to be the best version of myself. Before I turned 40, I wasn’t that confident. I learned to listen to my gut feeling.”

Heading to the Pyramid Stage isn’t Brown’s only big plan, as she also said in her interview that she would like to collaborate with this year’s Glasto headliner Stormzy.

Talking about her aims for the future, she said “[The Spice Girls] would all like to get together in a studio and make some more music – that would be good.

“I’d also like to do my own stuff. I love artists like Stormzy, so maybe he would be up for a collaboration.”
