Mel B had a saucy response when asked how she felt about her 24-year-old daughter, Phoenix Brown, channeling her past looks.

In December 2022, Phoenix (whom Mel B, 48, shares with her ex-husband, Jimmy Gulzar) shook up the internet with a Scary Spice photo shoot — and yes, it involved a few of her mom’s past Spice Girls looks that every ‘90s baby dreamed of.

But in a recent interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Mel B joked that she was “so pissed” and “annoyed” at her daughter borrowing her outfits.

“So I’m looking on Instagram and she sends me through this flurry of pictures,” she explained, adding that when she saw the photos, she thought, “That looks a bit like me.”

Then, she realized what her kid was wearing. “She's got all my bloody outfits on! The bitch stole my look and went into my wardrobe, and I’m like, you better bring all that stuff back right now because they’re my clothes,” the America’s Got Talent judge said.

Phoenix recreated outfits from the 1997 "Spice Up Your Life" cover art,  the group's 1996 "Say You'll Be There" music video and the Spice World movie poster from 1997.

But of course, Mel B cheekily thought she wore them best!

Mel B, who said seeing her daughter in her Spice Girls costumes was a “trip,” went on to explain the story behind the pieces.

“Spice Girls, we’re very much a homegrown band. So, we used to style ourselves, we did our own music, we begged producers and co-writers to work with us on the promise that when we’re rich and famous we’ll pay you back (we never did).”

The quintet — which also included Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Melanie C and Emma Bunton — was “broke basically” and ended up styling themselves and making their own clothes with their low budget. “That was 50 cents that top, probably made the skirt myself, skorts they were called,” Mel B remembered.

Phoenix, though, thinks her mom’s fashion was — and still is — the coolest in the game.

Mel B said, “My 24-year-old gone and said to me, “Yeah mum, you're cool, but you're really cool now because everything you wore back in the ‘90s has come back 'round.’
