Megyn Kelly Calls Out Mayim Bialik, Donna Karan in Sex Harassment Op-Ed: ‘Victim Blaming Must Stop’

Megyn Kelly penned an op-ed on sexual harassment for Time magazine in which the “Today” show’s third-hour host insisted “the victim blaming must stop.”

In the piece, the former Fox News anchor called out Mayim Bialik and Donna Karan, who have both spoken out about what they believe to be a woman’s role in curbing unwanted male advances. They’ve each since apologized, but didn’t avoid Kelly’s ire.

The new NBC morning show personality also chastised powerful and abusive men in the media industry, like Harvey Weinstein and her ex-boss Roger Ailes — the latter of whom she has said sexually harassed her.

Kelly also said she reported Ailes to her supervisor but “nothing was done,” a common problem for women in the workplace.

On the boys’-club point, Kelly wants to see all men step up to the plate.

“Perhaps the most critical solution lies in partnership with the men,” she wrote. “The harassers must stop; we know this. But male titans of industry must stand up for decency. Shout it from the rooftops and whisper it in the bars when women aren’t around, because we don’t often get invited to the late-night drinks where those conversations happen. Those are the moments.”

“Women alone cannot change the culture,” Kelly continued. “We need men. Evolved ones. Kind ones. Brave and scared ones, like those who fear expulsion from the fraternity if they object to a male colleague’s bad behavior.”

Plus, more women in power will also only help matters, Kelly opined. Or how about an outside lawyer who is not technically on the executives’ payroll? Fox News has one of those now, she said.
