Meghan McCain Tells Critics To 'Calm Down' After Whoopi Goldberg Argument: 'We Fight Like Family'

Meghan McCain and Whoopi Goldberg fight like sisters but they want America to know that they actually love each other. "The View" hosts took time on Tuesday to address the fall out of their heated argument that ended with Goldberg telling McCain, "Girl, please stop talking!"

The clip went viral and the internet started buzzing about the epic on-air fight so they faced the media frenzy head-on.

"Things get heated on this show," Whoopi explained. "This is part of what we do. This is not an indication that women can't sit around and talk, this is not an indication that we don't know how to deal with each other on camera, this is happening in real-time."

Meghan Says She's Got Nothing But Love For Whoopi

After Whoopi said her peace, Meghan had her opportunity to share her view and she express nothing but love and respect for the women who sit across from her on the show.

"Whoopi and I get along great, I love you very much. I've loved you for a long time, you were good friends with my dad," McCain said while making eye contact with Goldberg. "We fight like family. It's all good. We're not tearing the set apart. Calm down, all of you."

After the lovefest, she got serious and shamed the media for making it into something more than an argument among friends.

"With the media blowing it up, I just don't think it would happen with men," Meghan declared.

The Heated Argument

The duo's argument over the possible impeachment of President Trump on Monday came to a head when Whoopi felt Meghan was talking over other people's point of view.

"Please stop talking right now!" Goldberg said after the heated banter. That short clip began making the rounds and the discussion became about their TV spat and not their opinions about Trump.

McCain called out commentators and even named long-time TV personality, Greta Van Susteren for using "sexist" language during the coverage when she addressed the fight on Tuesday's show.

Another day, another "View" and the hosts just want to keep it moving.
