Meghan McCain is giving her thoughts on The View and is not mincing her words about the show and her former co-hosts.

A new interview with the political commentator dropped that was seemingly recorded the day that Ana Navarro alluded to former co-hosts using their last names, like Hunter Biden, to gain relevancy. Although Navarro didn’t specifically call out McCain, the former ABC daytime talk show co-host believed she was being referenced.

“I can’t go like a week without something being said about me on the show,” McCain said on the Dec. 27 episode of the Your Welcome with Michael Malice podcast. “The thing about The View is that I didn’t know when I signed my contract with ABC that this is forever. That, for the rest of my life, I’m going to be bullied, and yelled at, and abused, and brought up for years. I haven’t been on that show in years. I’m just trying to live my life.”

She continued, “I just didn’t know that when I signed to do this show that I have to deal with these crazy old people just yelling about me all of the time. I go whole swaths of time without thinking about them, like whole months without thinking about the show or anything. And, apparently, I am just on their minds every day. And it’s pathetic.”

McCain said that what ultimately led to her departure from the show is when she realized producers allegedly only wanted “someone who will agree with them and say ‘all Republicans are evil and conservatives are ruining the country.'”

Podcast host Malice went on to raise a theory that The View is a “malevolent show” with a goal to repeal the 19th amendment, something that McCain didn’t agree with.

“No, I don’t think so. I honestly don’t think that just from working there, that they’re that smart. It’s a very disorganized place backstage. It’s very chaotic, and I think that’s giving people that work there a lot of credit that they shouldn’t have. I will say, it is kind of a rigged show,” she said. “At night, all the hosts are given Hot Topics to choose from. So you’re like sent news articles you want to talk about the next day. Whatever the majority chooses is the topic of the show.”

McCain continued, “Anything that makes Democrats look bad is never chosen. I had to go in every morning being like, ‘Hey, whatever news story that makes Biden look bad is the number one news story of the day,’ and there would be a fight over whether or not it should even be aired because the hosts didn’t agree on it. And that was always a battle every day. And there were some news stories that they just wouldn’t cover because it made people look bad. It’s under ABC News and I don’t think that’s totally ethical.”

On a recent episode of her podcast Meghan McCain Has Entered the Chat, she called out Navarro for “trafficking on the McCain last name and legacy” in response to the Nicaraguan’s comments on The View.

McCain left The View in 2021 after four seasons and since then has had various outlets — her memoir Bad Republican, her Daily Mail column and her podcast — where she’s talked about her experience on the ABC talk show.
