Meghan McCain Returns to 'The View' and Takes Aim On 'Gun Grabbers'

Meghan McCain has made a triumphant return to her seat on "The View," amid rumors that she was quitting the talk show ... and not only is she not quitting, she's starting off the season with a bang!

McCain joined co-hosts Abby Huntsman, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin Tuesday for the premiere of the 23rd Season of the daytime show.

It didn't take long for the daughter of late Senator John McCain to start mixing it up when the topic of conversation turned to the most recent mass shooting in Midland, TX.

After many of the other co-hosts scolded the NRA for their financial strongholds on politicians, McCain jumped in to defend gun owners.

“As the chick on the panel that spent most of her break shooting, I look forward to talking about this,” McCain explained.

She explained that she spent most of her summer in Wyoming with her husband, shooting guns, fishing and living the "redneck" life.

McCain said politicians need to get real about gun control, and that taking away people's guns isn't the answer.

"Beto O’Rourke wants to have a complete and total — I call it ‘gun-grabbing’ — but he wants to have a mandatory gun buyback," McCain said, adding that, "t just doesn’t seem like that’s rational conversation."

Amid groans from the other women, McCain said, “AR-15 is by far the most popular gun in America,” and believes that talk about taking guns away will create, "a lot of violence."

She added that, "I’m not living without guns."

After the audience clearly did not agree with McCain's sentiment, the 34-year-old conservative said, "Alright, welcome back ... It’s going to be quite a season, folks."

After the end of last season, it was up in the air whether McCain would return. There were reports that she was upset over getting in political fights with her co-hosts, and McCain has even said herself, "It's not a fun job for me every day… being the sacrificial Republican."

Looks like she's ready to battle it out for another year!
