Meghan McCain blasts media for 'weaponizing' feud with former 'View' co-host Abby Huntsman

Meghan McCain dropped by Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen Wednesday night, and unloaded on the media. Meghan has had a tumultuous tenure on The View, but recent reports of her feud with former co-host Abby Huntsman have pushed her over the edge.

Abby abruptly announced her departure from The View in mid-January, and speculation quickly centered on a recent fight that she had with Meghan.

A frustrated McCain said, “It was sort of bizarre for me, and I think bizarre for [Abby], to have the fact that we got into one fight in the two years we worked together on the show, to be, you know, put under dissection by the media, to be weaponized.”

Meghan admits that she and Abby did get in a small fight prior to her departure, but claims the only reason Abby left was to help her father, Jon Huntsman Jr., with his gubernatorial campaign in Utah.

Abby leaving the show was very hard on Meghan, and the media's scrutiny has made it even more difficult. “It’s been really emotionally taxing to have our friendship used this way in the media,” said Meghan, “It's taken a real toll on me.”

Before moving onto another topic, host Andy Cohen asked Meghan if there was anything she wanted people to know, and she took the opportunity to remind everyone that she's a human being with a human heart. “I'm just a person doing my job and it's unfair the way our friendship is being used,” she said.
