Meghan McCain says Bernie Sanders isn't 'doing enough' to stop 'misogynistic' behavior from supporters

The View is known for courting controversy with its guests, and Wednesday’s episode was no exception.

The panel welcomed polarizing politician Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to the Hot Topics table, and the co-hosts asked pointed questions about her role in the Democratic party, healthcare reform and her endorsement of Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Co-host Meghan McCain used the opportunity to press Ocasio-Cortez on Sanders’ response to complaints about the behavior of some of his supporters, commonly referred to as “Bernie Bros.”

McCain shared her thoughts on these supporters, saying they’re “the most violent, the most misogynistic, the most sexist, the most harmful.”

She added, “He has a real problem and I don’t think that he’s doing enough to tamper it down.”

“Do you think he’s done enough to try and stop it?” McCain asked Ocasio-Cortez.

“I think he works very hard,” she replied.
