Meghan Markle had a lot of passions during her college years at Northwestern University. Many of her old classmates from the college remember her well and have nothing but kind words to say about her. One thing is for sure, it didn't take her long to transition into her role as the Duchess of Sussex being married to a Prince from the Royal Family, and all.
Because it didn't take her long to get used to this new role in her life, we often forget that not too long ago she was an American actress and not long before that, a college student at Northwestern University. Many of us can remember her kicking her acting career into high gear when she landed a role in the movie, A Lot Like Love acting alongside Ashton Kutcher.
Although she had so many things she was passionate about in college, she also had this one guilty pleasure. What was her guilty pleasure while she was a college student?
She was passionate about the sorority she was a member of called Kappa Kappa Gamma. She was also very much into charity work and was never afraid to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it or even make the new students feel welcome.
Markle was also very much into the theater. She even had a double major in theater and international studies. She called herself the "theater nerd." She was also very into learning all about the African American playwrights. Because of her love for learning all about these playwrights, she was able to embrace her mixed-race heritage and learn more about it.
She spent part of her junior year studying abroad in Madrid and even interned at the American Embassy in Buenos Aries. She sure kept a very busy schedule and was willing to work hard to prove, not only to herself but to everyone else that she had what it took to be an actress.
When she landed the role next to Ashton Kutcher in the movie A Lot Like Love she really put her career into overdrive and proved to herself and everyone else that she did have what it took to be an actress and this role eventually made her famous.
Everyone who was lucky enough to know her personally during her college years always had something nice to say about her. All of her college friends say they remember her fondly. They all describe her as being 'wonderful' and 'lovely.'
However, there was one thing she was known to have a guilty pleasure during her college years. If you couldn't find Markle in the theater or at her sorority house, you may have wanted to check the local Burger King. Meghan Markle was known for going to grab some fast food in between classes, In fact, reports state that she gained what they called the 'freshman 15.'
She was always making the fast-food runs for herself and her classmates and even her sorority sisters. Whether it was in between classes, in between or before meetings, or even for a late-night snack for her and her friends.
This may have been her true guilty pleasure and although she is now a Duchess and married to Prince Harry, and an American actress, this just proves how real she is, how normal, just like the rest of us, she is.
It was this experience that made her really enjoy her college years as much as she did.
Although the Duchess of Sussex is all about healthy foods now, no one can fault her for this one guilty pleasure she had with fast food. We all have a guilty pleasure similar to this at least once in our lifetime. After all, if we didn't, wouldn't life be so boring?
Markle is so much into eating healthy these days and she isn't afraid to share her healthy foods with anyone else. In fact, before she became Prince Harry's wife and a member of the Royal Family, she ran a lifestyle blog called, The Tig. With this website, she was fully committed to helping anyone who needed or wanted help, the tips, and advice they needed to also live a healthy lifestyle.
Being the good royal wife that she is, she passed her healthy lifestyle onto her husband, Prince Harry. Since passing it on to him, he has quit smoking cigarettes, he eats a lot healthier now, and has even started exercising more. Of course, what loving wife wouldn't want to help her husband become healthy too, right?
