Meghan Markle's Father Thomas Shares His Opinions on Megxit
An exclusive 90-minute interview titled, Thomas Markle: My Story aired recently, allowing Thomas Markle to give his full opinions on his daughter Meghan and Prince Harry's decisions to step away from their royal duties.
And boy, did he have a lot of opinions on the matter. If you haven't been following the royal news (AKA Megxit, which we love), Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided to step away from their royal duties to focus more on their relationship and being normal human beings.

Clearly the news of their departure didn't sit well with father Thomas Markle because he had a lot (we mean a lot) to say on the matter. None of it was at all supportive of his daughter's decisions.
During the interview, he stated, "They are destroying it, they are cheapening it, making it shabby - they are turning it into a Walmart with a crown on it."
Clearly, Thomas is not pleased with his daughter's decision. While he could choose to respect her choices, he instead chooses to criticize them.
"I think both of them are turning into lost souls at this point," Thomas said during the interview. "I don't know what they're looking for. I don't think they know what they are looking for."
It seems like Thomas Markle doesn't quite understand his daughter's place in all of this, and he definitely doesn't understand her choice to step away.
Maybe he should have married the Duke of Sussex if he really wanted their duties to be carried out. Otherwise, it's not his place for much of an opinion.
Thomas Markle later released another statement, claiming to apologize to the Queen as he "fears he will never speak to his daughter or her husband Prince Harry again," as stated by Sky News.
In the released interview, he also made comments that he had no idea who Prince Harry was when Meghan began dating him.
Meghan and her father haven't been close. The two separated after she married Harry in May of 2018.
Thomas Markle also claims that the media isn't representing him the way he wants to be. He stated, "I want everyone to know that I'm not all the trashy things that are being said about me. I want Harry and Meghan to see this video and know that this is not fair."
Overall, it seems like Thomas Markle isn't pleased at all with the way his daughter is handling things.
He also stated in the interview, "She could have been dating a Hollywood star and it would have been just as important to me because you know either way they are both 'high numbers.'"
Clearly Thomas Markle cares more about money than his own daughter's happiness. Maybe this is why it's been over a year since the two of them talked.
However, we're happy for Meghan and Harry and the decisions that they made. Hopefully her father can learn to live with their choices too.
