Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been the center of attention since denouncing their royal titles. While they have mostly received an overwhelming amount of support from the Royal Family and fans, one person in Meghan's life doesn't approve of her decision. It's no surprise that her estranged father, Thomas Markle, has something negative to say about the 'Suits' actress. Ever since marrying Prince Harry, he has made some hateful comments about their relationship. He didn't even attend their wedding.

Now Thomas Markle is unhappy that Meghan and Prince Harry are stepping down as His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex and Her Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex. According to Reuters, he claims she's doing it for the wrong reasons.

“It’s disappointing because she actually got every girl’s dream. Every young girl wants to become a princess and she got that and now she’s tossing that away, for, it looks like she’s tossing that away for money,” he said in a Channel 5 News documentary.

Thomas Markle is also disappointed that they are leaving "one of the greatest long-living institutions ever” and claims that Meghan is breaking unspoken vow that she made during her wedding “to be part of the royals and to represent the royals”.

“This is like one of the greatest long-living institutions ever,” he said in the interview. “They are destroying it, they are cheapening it, they’re making it shabby ... They are turning it into a Walmart with a crown of it now"

Meghan Markle has distanced herself from her father since the wedding. Thomas Markle believes that she won't be reaching out to repair their relationship any time soon, and she has every reason not to.

“I can’t see her reaching out to me, especially now ... or Harry for that matter, but I think both of them are turning into lost souls at this point,” he said.

“I don’t know what they’re looking for. I don’t think they know what they are looking for,” he added.

Prince Harry's family is handling his and Meghan's exit more gracefully.

"Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved members of my family.” Queen Eizabeth II said in a statement, "I recognise the challenges they have experienced as a result of intense scrutiny over the last two years and support their wish for a more independent life. I want to thank them for all their dedicated work across this country, the Commonwealth and beyond. It is my whole family's hope that today's agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life."
