Meghan Markle Wore A Thing: Heidi Merrick Windsor Dress Edition

Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."

Just in time for warmer weather, Meghan Markle returned to inspire our summer wardrobes in a breezy, minimalist maxi dress from one of her recent go-to brands.

On Friday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex embarked on their first official international tour since 2020. They headed to Nigeria, first stopping by the Lightway Academy in Abuja. Markle stayed true to her California roots in a peach-colored Heidi Merrick maxi and Emme Parsons sandals. (She wore a dress from the former to Prince Harry's polo match last month.) @WhatMegWore reported that she accessorized with a thick gold necklace, an Ariel Gordon bracelet and vintage Lanvin earrings.

As per Markle's usual effortless glam, she kept it simple with a slightly peach-toned blush (mirroring her dress) and a loose pinned-back ponytail cascading down her back.

The Duchess of Sussex is readying to launch her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard. Is this ensemble a clue that fans can expect a selection of peach jams and jellies? Okay, that may be a stretch — but we'll be sat for the rest of Markle's tour looks regardless.
