Meghan Markle is reaffirming that timeless style never fades.

Meghan, 42, and Prince Harry, 39, stepped out in Canada on Thursday for the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 Winter Training Camp. Staying warm in below-freezing temperatures on the mountain, the Duchess of Sussex sported a pair of Sorel Joan of Arctic boots in Slate/Grey, a winter wardrobe essential that's been in her closet for at least a decade, as eagle-eyed fans on social media noticed.

An Instagram Story shared on the account @meghansclosetchronicles showed a throwback photo of Meghan donning the same shoes back in January 2014. In the snapshot from her now-defunct Instagram page, Meghan stands in the snow with her arms wrapped around a friend. The caption read, "Brrr with @natturq #toronto #snow."

In another fashion throwback, Meghan wore a winter hat by Burberry that she previously wore back when she was dating Prince Harry.

But Meghan isn't the only aficionado of staple footwear. Her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, also boasts a signature shoe choice: her iconic brown tasseled knee-high leather boots. Purchased from British brand Penelope Chilvers in 2004, these versatile riding boots have graced the stylish royal on countless occasions since, even recently making a cameo on the small screen in The Crown.

Princess Kate, 42, has donned the boots on various royal engagements, including a memorable five-hour hike in the Himalayas in Bhutan back in 2016.

"I launched the company from my kitchen table, and those were the first boots I ever made,” Chilvers previously told PEOPLE, adding that Kate was one of her first-ever customers. “Probably the most exciting time that she ever wore them, for me, was the first time at Blenheim Palace for some country fair, which was around the time that her relationship with William was announced to the world and it went viral.”

Prince Harry and Meghan will spend the next three days meeting with members of the participating nations at the Winter Training Camp organized before the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025. The camp brings together members of the international Invictus Community, including team managers, coaches and competitors to experience winter adaptive sports before the official competition next year.

The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 will be the first winter edition of the competition through the introduction of winter sports. Next February, athletes can go for the gold in alpine skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, Nordic skiing, skeleton and wheelchair curling for the first time in addition to the core Invictus sports of indoor rowing, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby.
