Yesterday, Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, attended a reception at the State Governor House in Lagos during their three-day trip to Nigeria. And it wouldn’t be a lavish event without the Duchess of Sussex delivering an unforgettable fashion moment. Not only did the 42-year-old royal do exactly that, but she showed up in a familiar ensemble that I, a longtime royal admirer turned reporter, have definitely seen before.

The Suits alum arrived to the event (which took place on Mother’s Day) wearing a bright yellow maxi gown, which she paired with nude slingback heels.

While rocking an elegant updo, Markle accessorized the perfect-for-spring outfit with an assortment of gold jewelry. Prince Harry, 39, who accompanied his wife to the celebration, kept his attire pretty simple with a beige blazer, black pants, a white collared shirt and a black tie.

But what if I told you that the Duchess of Sussex wore the same yellow maxi dress once before? Yup, according to Page Six, Markle wore the same ensemble in the Netflix series, Harry & Meghan. In a still image taken from the series (see here), the royal rocked the dress during her son Prince Archie’s first birthday in May 2020.

If you remember, Markle did another classic rewear a few months ago. Back in March, the duchess paid a visit to the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, California.

For the occasion, she donned a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta Silk-Chiffon Landscape Shirtdress. In an episode of the Netflix docuseries, Markle was seen wearing the same Oscar de la Renta dress while carrying Archie.

I loved the yellow maxi dress then and I love it now, Meghan.
