Meghan Markle Reportedly "Felt Sorry" For Kate Middleton & Those Post-Baby Hospital Photos

Do we finally have a reason to hush those raging rumors that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge are at odds with one another? It’s been a difficult month for Kate, following cryptic news reports that she is at war with her friend and countryside neighbor, Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley. Now, sources are saying the still-pregnant Meghan has come forward with sympathy for Kate as it’s being reported that Meghan “feels sorry” for Kate’s post-delivery Lindo Wing photocalls.

Even if you’re vaguely familiar with the royal family, you know that it’s tradition for a royal couple to give birth at the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London and it’s also tradition for the royal couple to appear on the steps of the Lindo Wing, looking fresh-faced and calm as they present their royal baby to the world. Now, this tradition is pretty horrific because it requires the mother to immediately get all fixed up after pushing a tiny human out of her body and act like she’s not recovering from a major life event as paparazzi push cameras in her face and the face of her baby. To date, royal mums who have done this include the late Princess Diana with both her sons and Kate with her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

As reported by Page Six, a source close to Meghan says the duchess “felt sorry” for Kate being forced to hop out of her hospital bed, get into full hair and make-up and look perfect hours after giving birth, all for the sake of a photocall. While Kate has never spoken out about whether or not she feels uncomfortable with the entire situation, it’s nice to know that Meghan allegedly feels for her and now knows how difficult that would be now that she’s about to give birth for the first time. On the other hand, Meghan’s alleged sympathy can just add fuel to the fire and incite ire from Kate and the public alike. When everything Meghan does turned into a negative, it’s not far fetched to anticipate the British press turning on her for this as well.

Just one week ago, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex asked that you kindly consider supporting various organisations around the world in lieu of sending gifts for the upcoming arrival of their first born. Meghan and husband Prince Harry have been honest about the fact that they plan to once again break with tradition and skip the Lindo Wing shenanigans in favor of having a home birth and announcing the arrival of Baby Sussex when they feel comfortable. A statement released about the couple’s plans reads: “Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.” The royal couple’s birth plan is not the only thing that has been breaking with tradition when it comes to the impending arrival of their first born. In addition to announcing the arrival of their baby on their own terms, Meghan and Harry also announced on their Instagram in early April that they would ask well-wishers to donate to charities of their choice in lieu of gifts and flowers.
