Meghan Markle, Prince Harry spotted at exclusive club in Austin before SXSW 2024

Austin, international royalty is in town.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were seen dining at Austin's private dining club Soho House Thursday on the eve of her SXSW Opening Day Keynote Panel.

According to People magazine, "Meghan and Harry dined at a corner table at the private members' club. 'They were happy and in great spirits,' an onlooker said. 'Harry was very animated throughout the dinner. They were super low key and seemed happy to be around the upbeat vibes at the lively venue.'"

London's Soho House is where the royal couple had their first date in July 2016.

Markle, 42, will speak alongside journalist Katie Couric, actress Brooke Shields, author Nancy Wang Yuen and Errin Haines, editor at The 19th, a nonprofit news site. The keynote is titled "Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen."

The opening day of SXSW also coincides with International Women's Day, a worldwide day of celebration and recognition of women's contributions to society.

"We are so honored to host this distinguished group on International Women’s Day for a significant discussion on the importance of representation in media and entertainment," Hugh Forrest, SXSW's co-president and chief programming officer, said in a prepared statement.

The panelists plan to discuss women's representation in the media, social media's effect on teenage girls' mental health and more, according to a news release from SXSW.
