Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Spending Thanksgiving With Her Mother: Royal Family Supports Them
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been trying desperately to find their privacy. However, when it comes to being an American actress before marrying a Prince from the Royal Family and getting attention then, to marrying Prince Harry who grew up in the spotlight, it doesn't come easy for either of them to be able to live private lives.
Markle was kind of used to being in front of the media as it was being an actress in America, but to then marry a Prince from the Royal Family, that just makes living a private life about 10 times harder. The couple went back to the states to have Thanksgiving with Markle's mother, where they could have a private Thanksgiving Holiday.

Although they chose to spend the Thanksgiving holiday in California with Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, the Royal Family supports them in every way and they want the happy couple to know that they do.
The Royal Family fully supports the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and, although they chose not to spend the holiday with them, they understand the couple's quest for privacy. One thing is for sure, Ragland's home offers them the security and privacy they are desperately looking for.
This is not the first Thanksgiving they spent as a married couple, but it is their first as a family with a newborn baby. Baby Archie was born in May so this is his first Thanksgiving and their first one as a family of three.
Not only have they chosen to stay in California with Markle's mother for the Thanksgiving holiday but they have told the Royal Family, and it has been confirmed that they will not be spending Christmas with the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family but will stay in the states for the whole holiday.
The Royal Family supported them for Thanksgiving and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex responded to their support with a message on Instagram that said, "WISHING you a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING from OUR FAMILY to Yours. Their ROYAL HIGHNESSES the DUKE and DUCHESS of SUSSEX."
Buckingham Palace released a statement on Wednesday that said, "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to extended family time towards the end of this month. Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, Their Royal Highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland. This decision is in line with the precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family, and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen."
Although the statement did not release any information as to where the couple is spending their Christmas in the states, it has been confirmed that they will NOT be spending it in Markle's hometown of Los Angeles, California.
This is not the first time anyone in the Royal Family has chosen to skip out on spending the holidays with the Queen in Sandringham. In fact, Prince William and wife, Kate Middleton also took turns between Middleton's family and the Royal Family. It is only fair for them to alternate between the two family's, of course.
A close source to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry did say that Markle was really looking forward to spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with her mother in the states. The source also confirmed that Markle was really looking forward to their son's first trip to the states to see his American grandmother. Markle was also looking forward to a well-deserved break for the family.
A friend of Markle's shared, "It has always been important to Meghan that Archie grows up aware of his American heritage and they plan to spend more time in the States as he grows up. They’ve not had much time off and this feels like the right moment to take a proper break."
