Meghan Markle and Prince Harry capped off their Valentine's Day in Canada with an intimate dinner for two.

After making an appearance at the start of the Invictus Games Winter Training Camp on Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex concluded their day with dinner at an Italian restaurant in Whistler. Photos published by the Daily Mail depict Meghan, 42, appropriately representing the holiday's signature color in a red coat, and Harry, 39, donning a cozy blue sweater, outside Il Caminetto.

The restaurant offered a special holiday menu curated by the executive chef, Mark Mcloughlin. Priced at $109 per person for a four-course fixed menu, dishes included options such as oysters, squash risotto and duck breast.

Their dessert choices included salted caramel pudding, tiramisu, strawberry and chocolate gelato with chocolate-covered strawberries or "baba napoletano," featuring ginger, lemon and vanilla syrup, crema chantilly roasted pear brunoise and grappa.

Meghan has previously expressed her fondness for Valentine's Day. In a 2015 post on her now-defunct lifestyle blog The Tig, she professed her adoration for the holiday: "Hook, line, and sinker, I am such a sucker for Valentine's Day."

Discussing the importance of self-love, especially on Valentine's Day, she emphasized the need to be one's own valentine, recalling how her Suits co-stars Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres reminded her to treat herself well during challenging times.

Meghan also showed off her romantic side in another Valentine's Day blog: “Without fail, every February 14th, I wake up feeling like I’m immersed in a Robert Doisneau photo, waiting with bated breath to be dipped into a kiss. This is all happening in black and white, of course. And in Paris, if I had my way," she wrote. "But delusions of francophile grandeur aside, Valentine’s Day is special wherever you happen to find yourself. And in terms of gifts, be it breakfast in bed, a sweet love note, or a single flower, it really is the thought that counts.”

Earlier on Valentine's Day, the couple bundled up in their winter attire and strolled hand in hand as they stepped out on the snowy mountain to converse with athletes using adaptive skis and their guides. Their presence on the slopes caught the attention of a nearby skiing family, with a teen boy exclaiming, "It's Harry and Meghan, Dad!" upon recognizing them.

The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 will mark the inaugural winter edition of the competition, introducing winter sports to its lineup.

Athletes can vie for gold in alpine skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, Nordic skiing, skeleton, and wheelchair curling, in addition to the core Invictus sports of indoor rowing, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair rugby.

"As Invictus continues to adapt and evolve, I am extremely excited to announce that the Invictus Games Foundation has selected Canada to host the first-ever Winter Hybrid Games in 2025," Prince Harry said in a previous statement around the news.
