It seems like the frenzy over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first royal baby, Archie Harrison, has only just died down. But already, some are on the lookout for signs of another royal baby. And according to royal expert Katie Nicholl, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could be expecting baby two sooner than we think. Apparently, the Sussex royals are eager to start a big family, and their lives have been “transformed” by the experience of becoming parents. So — Nicholl thinks we could get another pregnancy announcement as early as 2020.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Nicholl confirmed that the Sussex couple has plans for more children down the line. “People are already speculating about baby number two for the Sussexes,” Nicholl said. While she thinks it’s “a little premature” to be discussing a second baby already, she has it on good authority that more children will eventually join the Sussex clan. “Sources close to the couple told me that they really would love to have a big family,” Nicholl revealed. “They are, by all accounts, amazing parents. They are loving parenthood.”

It’s not just about expanding their family: Harry and Meghan specifically want “siblings for Archie,” Nicholl contended. “Possibly we will have a pregnancy announcement — a second pregnancy announcement for Meghan and Harry sometime next year,” she added, “but, for the moment, the focus is obviously on Archie.”
While Meghan and Harry do hope to have more children eventually, Nicholl advised that they’re very much still adjusting to how their lives have changed as parents. “This really has been a life-transforming event [for Harry and Meghan],” the royal expert shared, “Yes, they’re royals, yes, they probably have more help than the rest of us, but this really has turned their world upside down for the better.” That means that, “at the moment,” the Sussex royals have their hands full with Archie — but “it’s their plan to have more than one child.”
We’re not not excited for royal baby-watch 2020 — but hey, Archie Harrison’s only three months old. Let’s give these royals a minute to catch their breath.
