Meghan Markle was an actress before she met Prince Harry and married into the Royal Family. She was in the legal series, "Suits' and from then on out, she got a taste of what celebrity life was like. It seemed like she enjoyed every bit of it and ran with it for as long as she could.
Once she met Prince Harry and the couple fell in love and got married, she became a member of the Royal Family. Although she already had a taste for the spotlight from being a celebrity, she apparently wasn't ready for what was to come by being a member of the Royal Family.

Markle has been criticized by many members of the media since meeting Prince Harry, becoming his wife, and becoming a member of the Royal Family. Why has she been criticized so much by the media? No one has been able to answer that question yet and maybe no one will ever know the real reason.
Once she became a member of the Royal Family, she admitted to Fox News that she didn't think life as a member of the Royal Family was a bit fair.
Many members of the press have had negative things to say about Markle. This includes the 'Good Morning Britain' host, Piers Morgan who has had negative opinions on almost everything she has said or done and still does to this day. The problem is, many more media members have followed him with negative comments against the Duchess of Sussex.
In fact, her skills in parenting have come under attack. According to BuzzFeed News, they even have a negative opinion about her and gave her a hard time when she was a guest on British Vogue.
One question on everyone's mind right now is: Does Meghan Markle lack self-awareness? Does she feel more like a celebrity still than a member of the Royal Family?
Social media users and celebrities alike all think that she does lack self-awareness. Some even say that she prefers to increase her own popularity over doing what is right and what she should be doing for the Royal Family. Other followers, members of the press, and fans seem to think she is having a hard time letting go of her celebrity status and living as she should, a Royal.
Markle has been talking about and adamant for a few years now that she is for a 'force for change.' In some ways, her work as a volunteer has shown this. She even wrote strong and empowering messages about and for sex workers once. This is evidence that she is a 'force for change.'
However, the International Business Times thinks that she does not have the self-awareness she should have and that she doesn't want to or is having trouble letting go of her celebrity status in favor of being a member of the Royal Family.
Although these things seem possible for her, she does seem to be trying to stay true to herself and what she stands for. She still stands up for women's rights and is an advocate for other causes that are very important to her.
Although it seems like she has been struggling with her title of Duchess of Sussex, she seems to be as self-aware as she always has been. She also seems to have let go of her celebrity status but is still having trouble with the Royal Family member status. Maybe that's why she and Prince Harry really let go of their Royal titles and Royal duties for a while.
