Meghan Markle Just Received Some Major Support From This Unexpected A-Lister

Considering how much hate Meghan Markle has gotten since becoming a royal back in 2018, it seems like public discourse around her has taken two extreme sides: people are either pro-Markle or anti-Markle. Luckily for the Duchess of Sussex, however, it seems like many A-listers in Hollywood have taken her side, and they haven’t been afraid to express it.
Most recently, Kelly Rowland has joined the list as she spoke out about her recent connection with Markle at a Beyoncé concert in September. “It was my first time meeting her,” the Destiny’s Child alum told Hello! “It was just nice being there with other great women and being able to just simply talk.”

In the pictures from the event, Markle and Rowland were seen smiling alongside Scandal star Kerry Washington. Per the outlet, the trio figured out they have more in common than they thought, including being women of color in the public eye and being married with two young kids.
“I don’t know what people expect to see or to know, but she just felt very cool and very down to earth,” Rowland continued. “She is very warm.”

Rowland continued her praises for Markle, adding that her sense of royalty came long before her Duchess title. “She was royal before she was in that family,” Rowland said. “I think that we are royalty before anything. And we have to hold ourselves in that regard as humans, as people.”
Rowland’s interview shining light on what Markle is really like comes at an important time for the Duchess. Earlier this week, she and her husband Prince Harry were made fun of by the animated series Family Guy.
In the short scene, Markle and Harry are seen enjoying the sun in pool chairs when a white-haired butler approaches the couple. “Sir, your millions from Netflix for… no-one knows what,” he says. “Put it with the rest of them,” Harry responds. Talk about brutal!
