Meghan Markle’s Father Loses ‘Staged Photoshoot’ Lawsuit Against Paparazzi Owner

It seems that Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle just can't seem to get a break. He was suing paparazzi agency Coleman-Rayner's owner, Jeff Rayner to the tune of $1 million, over "hammy" staged photos because they were printed without his approval, right before Markle's wedding to Prince Harry, of course.

According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Thomas Markle's lawsuit against British paparazzi photo agency Coleman Rayner has been dismissed.

The judgment read, "The Defendant's Ex Parte Application for an Order Dismissing Plaintiff's Complaint with Prejudice filed by Coleman Rayner on 01/04/2023 is Granted. The Court will review the proposed Order submitted."

Markle made a deal with Coleman Rayner over a staged photoshoot that was to pay him 30% of the earnings. Instead, it made him an "object of ridicule" and left him with no money, no standing, and no relationship with his daughter.

So Markle sued the agency to the tune of $1 million but even that game is now a lost cause. At the time of filing, Coleman Rayner had issued a statement, "Mr. Markle’s hand-written court filing is so obviously frivolous that Mr. Markle, The Daily Beast, and anyone else who republishes the details of Mr. Markle’s court filing, will be liable to Coleman-Rayner for defamation."

It All Began With Meghan Markle's Royal Wedding!

Things have changed rather spectacularly ever since Markle walked down the royal aisle and became a Duchess by simply saying, "I do".  After much ado in the British media that painted Meghan Markle in every shade of grey possible, Markle and her husbandPrince Harry renounced the royal family and flounced away.

While distance is supposed to make the heart grow fonder, the rift in the royal family is widening into a chasm the size of the Great Barrier Reef. After the Netflix documentary "Harry & Meghan" in which the couple painted their life in the royal family as one of intense strife and abuse, Harry's new book "Spare" is also revealing some nasty secrets and fights!

Meghan's side of the family has proved no better, allegedly, after Thomas Markle made a deal with Coleman-Rayner to publish a series of badly-staged pictures of him just before the Royal wedding. Sadly, for Markle, the photographs turned out so bad, they made him the laughingstock of the British media!

Meghan Markle's Father Regretted The Deal

This is not the first time Thomas Markle has beefed with the same paparazzi agency. In a previously filed lawsuit, Markle claims the paparazzi agency approached him and offered him nearly $100,000 for setup shots.

The second time around, the deal was reduced to a mere $1,500 cash payment and 30% of future earnings on the photos.

However, after executing the deal, Markle stated that the pictures looked “stupid and hammy” and regretted it, bitterly. Markle was famously photographed in hilarious choreographed situations, including lifting small weights, reading picture books about England, and news about his daughter inside internet cafes. You could not stage a more artificial photoshoot even if you tried!

Later, he claimed how these issues caused him to have two heart attacks and forever broke the relationship with his daughter Meghan, as well as his son-in-law, Prince Harry.

Thomas Markle Threatened To "Kill" The Agency Owner

Jeff Rayner, the part owner of Coleman-Rayner then claimed that Thomas Markle threatened to kill him, and the same was published in the book, "Revenge: Meghan, Harry and The War Between The Windsors" written by Tom Bower.

Rayner filed a restraining order asking the judge to keep Markle away from him quoting statements made by the 79-year-old that read: "Thomas W. Markle is quoted on approximately page 220 of the book: 'I got screwed by Rayner,' said Markle, and I’m going to find a way to screw him over before I die. I want to tear him down. If they tell me I’ve got terminal cancer, then I’ll kill him because I have nothing to lose."

The judge granted the restraining order later, ordering Thomas Markle to keep away from Jeff Rayner for the next two years, in September 2022.

Of course, Markle requested a termination of the same, in October 2022, saying he was an old man and posed no threat to anyone.

The drama might continue!
