Meghan Markle’s Ex Friend Shares Cryptic Post About ‘Lies’ After Their Falling Out

Look, we all know that ever since Meghan Markle walked down the aisle with Prince Harry, the media has had a field day. Their decision to step back from their royal duties and move to Montecito, California only intensified the media circus around them. Every move they make, every word they utter, it’s all under the microscope. And when it comes to what others have to say about Markle and Prince Harry, particularly those who used to be in one or both of their lives, it seems like there is no shortage of gossip fodder.
Jessica Mulroney, Markle’s former best buddy, has gone and shared a cryptic post about ‘lies’ on Instagram that have fans convinced it is about the Duchess of Sussex.

Once upon a time, Mulroney and Markle were thick as thieves. They both worked in television in Toronto — Mulroney was a stylist, and Markle was lighting up the screen on Suits. But then Mulroney was called out by Sasha Exeter, a Black influencer, for not using her white privilege to amplify the Black Lives Matter movement. Markle seemingly distanced herself from Mulroney, and they’ve reportedly been on the outs since.
Earlier today, 43-year-old Mulroney shared a video on her Instagram Story. The video, originally posted by @WomennSoul, featured an unidentified woman passionately speaking about the importance of understanding both sides of a story.
“Anybody who believes lies about you, before even hearing your side of the story, was already looking for a way to be against you,” the woman said in the video, per Page Six. The woman then asked, “Do I need to say that one more time?” The story seems to have been deleted, as it was unavailable within a story’s 24-hour lifespan.
The cryptic ‘lies’ post is not the first instance where Mulroney has seemingly taken to social media to express her feelings about her falling out with Markle indirectly. In September, she posted another cryptic message about detachment and strength amidst speculations of their strained relationship. Back in August 2020, just as Mulroney and Markle were on the outs, she posted a cryptic birthday tribute to her twins that seemingly alluded to all the heartache she experienced losing Markle as a friend.
While it remains unclear who the ‘lies’ post is aimed at, it’s evident that the fallout between Markle and Mulroney has added another layer of complexity to the former royal couple’s relationship with the media. As they continue to navigate their lives in the public eye, one can only hope that they find a way to handle their personal relationships with more privacy.
