Meghan Markle put on a sartorial showcase throughout her trip to Nigeria since her first event with husband Prince Harry on Friday. Among the pieces the Duchess of Sussex has worn, the royal used her accessories as a way to pay homage to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.

Markle wore a delicate diamond cross on a gold chain during an event the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended on Saturday. The cross necklace was a piece of Princess Diana’s collection and was given to Markle as a gift by her husband, People reports. While wearing pieces of her late mother-in-law’s jewelry is a way Markle often honors Princess Diana’s memory, she also pays homage to the late royal by fashioning accessories similar Princess Diana.

But when it comes to her accessories, her late mother-in-law’s influence is not far from Markle’s mind.
