Meghan Markle Donates Her Floral Displays to Charity — See the Stunning Baby Shower Blooms

Meghan Markle never misses an opportunity to give back.

Following her baby shower in New York City, which was thrown by her close friends and boasted an impressive celebrity guest list (which included Amal Clooney and Serena Williams) — Meghan, 37, donated her entire floral display — that she and her famous friends arranged herself — to charity.

Jennifer Grove, the CEO of Repeat Roses, an organization which recycles florals from events and uses them to cheer up people in hospitals and care centers, revealed they were gifted to pediatric cancer patients at Ronald McDonald House Charities of New York.

The other flowers went to cancer patients at Hope Lodge and men and women receiving care at Unique People Services.

In the organization’s photos, it is clear the flowers were much appreciated as the patients can be seen smiling with the stunning bouquets.

In one shot a little girl gleefully sniffs a yellow and green arrangement that was placed in a dainty cream vase.

“Repeat Roses was so honored to help petal-it-forward with a baby shower experience for the Duchess of Sussex and her thoughtful friends by creating a ripple effect of kindness across the community,” Grove tells PEOPLE.

Baby shower attendee Gayle King previously revealed Meghan’s plans to donate the flowers when she opened up about the celebration for the royal baby, due in late April, on CBS This Morning.

“I’ve never seen anything like this at a baby shower,” King, 64, explained. “They did flower decorations… they brought in somebody to explain how to arrange flowers.”

“We all each made an individual vase and then Meghan got in touch with an organization [called] Repeat Roses and all of those were donated to different charities,” King continued

“It just speaks to who she is. She’s very kind, very generous.”

This isn’t the first time Meghan has given her flower arrangements brought joy more than once.

Back in May, following Meghan and Prince Harry‘s wedding, the flowers that adorned St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle were sent to St. Joseph’s Hospice in London.

The health care facility announced on Facebook that the staff had just received the “very special delivery” of “beautiful bouquets made from the #royalwedding flowers.”

Accompanying their announcement was a photo of a patient with her arms full of the greenery.

“A big thank you to Harry and Meghan and florist Philippa Craddock,” St. Joseph’s wrote. “Our hospice smells and looks gorgeous. Such a lovely gesture.”

After a busy few days in the big apple, Meghan wrapped up the celebrations and headed to the airport on Wednesday.
