The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is reportedly set to make an Instagram comeback.

The former actress has been away from the platform for three years after deactivating her shared account with her husband, Prince Harry, back in 2020.

Ahead of her return, social media experts have speculated that Meghan would quickly gain followers "because she is a celebrity, actress, and royalty." They also claimed that she would command high fees for putting up paid posts.

According to the Daily Mail, fans of Meghan should be expecting to see her return to Instagram very soon.

A new account with the title "@meghan" is said to belong to the duchess after her previous account with her husband, Prince Harry, "@sussexroyal," was deactivated in 2020.

If there was any doubt as to whether the new account was hers, a source close to the former actress confirmed it earlier in the week.

"Yes, that's her. Expect an announcement very soon. She's coming back," the source said about the account, which has already garnered 76k followers.

According to sources, Meghan's proposed return isn't surprising, as she has "never made any secret of the fact she wants to return to Instagram."

Sometime last year, she hinted at a comeback during an interview with The Cut, saying at the time to writer Allison P. Davis that she plans on "getting back on Instagram."

Experts Predict That The New Account Would Be A Big Hit

Ahead of Meghan's return, several experts have predicted that she would make a massive splash in the social media waters.

"I would expect her to quickly become one of the most followed accounts on Instagram," said social media expert Eric Schiffer, who has worked with several cast members from the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

He added, per Daily Mail, "You have celebrities like the Kardashians who can command $1 million (£790,000) and up for a single post promoting a product. There is no reason Meghan couldn't be earning those sorts of fees."

His sentiments were also echoed by Marketing expert Kent Moore, who once had Star Trek's Sir Patrick Stewart as part of his clientele.

He said, "I think she would instantly shoot into the top ten highest-paid influencers in the world. Her status is unique because she is a celebrity, actress, and royalty."

He added, "Meghan could charge a million dollars per post as an absolute minimum. That sum would rise quickly if her partnerships achieve global coverage and traction."

Meghan's proposed return to Instagram comes just a few weeks after she was spotted in California sporting an anti-stress patch on her left wrist, per the Express.

The round, disc-shaped bracelet was reportedly created by a company called NuCalm and is often described as a "remote control for your brain." It's designed to aid in achieving optimal sleep, reducing stress, and promoting relaxation.

The exact reason for Meghan's wearing the patch remains unclear. However, there's speculation that it could be related to the recent challenges and setbacks she has faced, which might have led to heightened stress.

During this particular outing, Markle was accompanied only by her bodyguard, as her husband, Prince Harry, was away in Asia for personal matters.

The duo recently had to deal with the loss of their Spotify deal, which was the platform on which their "Archetypes" podcast was produced.

They have also faced other troubles, among which were rumors that their financial problems had caused a strain between them.

"They're trying to figure out what hit them. Harry doesn't fit in Meghan's tacky Tinseltown world," said a source who claimed that the two were taking some time apart.

Not long after the rumor began circulating, an insider close to the couple shared that it was all just made-up stories created by their naysayers.

"It's not true. It's literally made up," the insider said, per Page Six. In the meantime, neither Harry nor Markle have spoken up about the current state of their relationship or addressed any rumors suggesting they might be facing problems.
