Meghan Markle Is the ‘Avocado Toast Whisperer,’ Says Pal Revealing Her Hearty Home-Cooked Meal

Breakfast at Meghan and Harry’s!

Meghan Markle may be living the life of a royal mom-to-be now, but she still makes time to have her friends over and whip up delicious avocado toast.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, Meghan’s friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin shared a snap of their meal — complete with tea, avocado toast and what might be chocolate truffles.

“Back to our Tig days…??,” he captioned the post, referring to Meghan’s now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig. “Thank you Meghan for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoast whisperer, YUM!”

Martin also posted a video on his Instagram Story, writing, “Weekend in London with my M,” seemingly referring to Meghan, 37. The makeup artist helped create Meghan’s elegantly natural makeup look for her royal wedding in May and is a longtime friend of the Duchess of Sussex.

A self-professed foodie, the former Suits actress often shared personal recipes on The Tig. She memorably once wrote on the lifestyle blog, “I was born and raised in Los Angeles, a California girl who lives by the ethos that most things can be cured with either yoga, the beach or a few avocados.”

During her royal tour of Australia in October, Meghan baked her own special banana bread for a visit to a family-run farm in Dubbo, Australia. The Duchess of Sussex had reportedly baked the treat the night before in the kitchen of Admiralty House in Sydney after a long day of engagements.

In September, Meghan launched her charity cookbook, Together: Our Community Cookbook, in support of the Hubb Community Kitchen, where, in the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower fire, a group of local women gathered together to cook fresh food for their families and neighbors.

A recipe for her “very favorite” avocado and green chile dip is included in the cookbook, which the Duchess of Sussex says she “make[s] at home.”

In a speech to guests at the launch event for the endeavor, she said the project had been a “tremendous labor of love.”
