Meghan Markle Will Appear on 'Ellen' For First Post-Megxit Interview

A lot has happened since Megxit became official. Thomas Markle did a 90-minute interview talking about how Meghan was making all the wrong decisions.

Overall, a lot of people have come out of the woodwork to look down on Meghan and Prince Harry's decision to leave the royal family and "quit" their royal duties.

We've all been dying to hear from Meghan Markle herself on the matter, but she hasn't had a televised interview, yet. Sources say she might be sitting down soon with Ellen DeGeneres.

Meghan Markle's First Big Interview Will Be With Ellen, Not Oprah

This came as a shock to some people, as Meghan Markle and Oprah have been long-time friends. Many thought the two of them would sit down for an interview.

But it appears that Meghan Markle has chosen to do Ellen instead.

A source told Daily Mail that the interview, "has been in the works for quite some time now." Nothing appears to be confirmed just quite yet, but the rumor hasn't been shut down either. We'll have to wait and see.

Daily Mail's source also stated that "Ellen and Meghan have already discussed a sit-down interview. That's been in the works for quite some time now"

The source also stated that "Ellen has a way of making things happen," and also, "Ellen has made it clear to her staffers that Meghan is one of the nicest, most real people she's ever met and that Harry is just the same. She would want a sit-down with both of them together. She wants her fans to see what she already knows to be true."

Apparently, Ellen and Meghan have been close for quite some time. So it's not surprising that Meghan has chosen to sit down with the television show host first.

"[Meghan] said Ellen understands her pain and suffering. That she epitomizes authenticity. [Meghan] feels like they are kindred spirits," the source said. "[Markle] said they have stayed in touch since meeting in person and have become close. She said they actually have a lot in common and that Ellen has been a huge support, especially since moving to Canada."

While this is all speculation from one source at the Daily Mail, another source from the Royal side of things stepped forward to tell PEOPLE magazine that the reports were "categorically untrue."

Who knows what's happening or not happening at this point. However, we certainly hope Meghan and Ellen plan on sitting down together for an interview.

We'd love to hear Meghan's side of the story, and hear her answer questions on the matter. Maybe she could even comment on her father's interview. In all honesty, the world just wants to know what she's thinking.
