It's been a hot minute since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they would be stepping down as senior members of the royal family.

Unfortunately for them, their half in, half out, have their cake and eat it too strategy was not accepted by Queen Elizabeth II who put her panty-hosed, high heeled foot down in a way only she can do, with nerves of steel.

Meghan and Harry were told they must give up all official duties, including Harry's military duties, and if they want to leave The Firm, then they would have to do so fully.

Now, Meghan Markle is throwing some shade around Buckingham Palace in words that are sure to rile the Queen who welcomed her with open arms and a massive royal wedding in 2018.

Meghan and Harry have been constantly talking about the buzzword of 2019, mental health, and how being in the royal family affected them.

Meghan has been talking to her friends, who have been talking to the Daily Mail about how the couple feels with their recent escape to Canada and the prospect of a new life.

Meghan Thinks Leaving Is The Best Thing For Harry

The friend (yes, we're aware this friend could be just a random gossip magazine leaking stories) told the Daily Mail that quitting the royals was the best thing that could ever happen to Harry and "it was her love for him that made this possible."

Apparently Meghan put on her red cape, threw on a golden lasso and flew right over to London to save Prince Harry from the dreadful family of which she claims he grew up in.

Her friend also claimed, "She said that like her, his spirit was being crushed and she simply couldn't stand to see him suffer anymore."

Meghan Has No Problem Continuing To Use The Royal Name

What's interesting though, is that Meghan has no problem continuing to use the Sussex name or the word "royal" in the couple's future brand.

Those horrible, scary, no good, big bad royals were clearly toxic, but not so toxic that Meghan wants to ditch the benefits that come with being associated with them. The Sussex Royal name will continue to be used on the official website for the couple.

The friend continued, "Meghan says they will always be considered royalty regardless of where they live or what they do."

Will Harry Really Be Better Off? Only Time Will Tell

Apparently, Meghan feels this is the best thing for her husband and his mental health, feeling he was completely miserable in his role.

The friend said, "Meghan has been telling her close friends that this is the best thing that could ever happen to Harry. That out of anyone he will flourish the most and that it was her love for him that made this possible."

Only time will tell if this really is the best thing to ever happen to Harry, or if he'll end up running back to London, begging the Queen to take him back.
