Meghan King Edmonds' Husband Vows To 'Make It Right' After Nanny Cheating Scandal
The "RHOC" star Meghan King Edmonds isn't ready to let their marriage go, despite rumors he's filed for divorce.
Jim Edmonds released a statement vowing to "make it right" following accusations that he cheated on his wife with their children's nanny.
What Went Wrong:
In a lengthy statement, the former MLB player told PEOPLE this past week has been “emotionally exhausting” and he's had many sleepless nights “resulting from a combination of anger, embarrassment, trying to understand, sadness to simply flat.”
Acknowledging the challenges the duo faced in their marriage, Jim chalked up their downfall to the balance between work and family life.
“Marriage is difficult but add three small children under three, two adolescent children, two adult children, building a house and two busy, hard-working spouses and the stress of living our lives in the public eye," he stated. "At times we are exhausted and feel our life has become one of distrust, kids, work, house, sleep and repeat.”
Child's Health Issues:
Jim continued by stating, "It saddens me tremendously that my wife is hurt."
“After having a few days to digest the situation, I realize that something that occurred in a split second spiraled out of control with no way to stop it. We were both separately surprised to find out that the media had received details of our private situation without our knowledge.”
Revealing their son's medical issues added to the stress of their marriage, Jim added, “With our busy careers and the addition of our son’s medical needs, we were lacking quality time together.”
Their son, Hart, has been diagnosed with a form of brain damage.
He's Not Giving Up:
Jim vows he's not giving up on his life with Meghan and even praised her in his statement.
"I have way too much love for my wife and kids for this to happen and it’s time for us to get back to the private life we used to live,” he said. “Meghan is a truly special woman who my kids are so fortunate to have as their mother. Hoping for some peace, normalcy, and the ability to move forward in a healthy, happy direction for every single person involved.”
“I love my family and will make it right again,” he added.
Meghan Speaks:
Meghan has addressed the accusations he may have cheated with their nanny, stating she's not sure if they are true.
Opening up about the latest cheating scandal in a blog post, she revealed several issues with their marriage, including him partying with younger women.
This isn't the first cheating scandal Meghan and Jim have faced.
He was accused of sending an XXX video to his mistress while Meghan was giving birth to their twins.
