Megan Thee Stallion has joined forces with Flamin’ Hot to say “F-U” to college debt. The rapper and the snack brand have teamed up to launch Flamin’ Hot University, an initiative that gives back to Historically Black College and University (HBCU) students.

As Thee Hot Girl Dean of admissions, the Grammy Award-winning musician created a one-of-a-kind online curriculum to show fans how to “Unleash Their Flamin’ Hot”, with courses on food, fashion, and lifestyle. The digital rollout includes cooking tutorials, photoshoot tips, advice on content creation, and more.

“I feel like everyone knows I love education and I would definitely advise anyone to pursue a real degree and to finish school,” detailed the “Cocky AF” rapper about launching the F-U campaign.

“You are never too old to learn. I definitely just wanted to show how much I have fun cooking and show everyone what in my house I could put Hot Cheetos on, and promote education. I was just excited to promote two things at the same time that I love.”

Flamin’ Hot University will also serve up the entire portfolio of Flamin’ Hot snacks in limited-edition packaging and an exclusive merch line created by fashion designer Melody Ehsani. Proceeds are set to establish a scholarship fund of up to $150,000 at Megan’s alma mater Texas Southern University, where she received a bachelor of science degree in health administration in December 2021. Additionally, Flamin’ Hot will make a separate contribution of $100,000 to the Pete and Thomas Foundation, the non-profit launched by Megan in 2022 in honor of her late parents.

“The goal was to take traditional collegiate wear you’d find at your college campus store and take it up a notch for FU University with the rebellious spirit of the Flamin’ Hot brand, and with Megan’s hottie stamp of approval, of course,” explained Ehsani in an exclusive statement.

“Meg is a whole vibe in and of herself! It was most important to me that students can live their lives – authentically and confidently – without compromising on style when rocking pieces from this collection.

VIBE: What would the essential ingredients be if you were to make a Hot Girl?

Megan Thee Stallion: Ooh, if we were going to make a Hot Girl, we would definitely need some Texas Pete hot sauce or Frank’s Red Hot hot sauce, some honey, obviously some Flamin’ Hot Cheeto dust, and pickles.

Of all your recipes and cooking that you incorporate Hot Cheetos and its dust, what is the wildest or most unexpected combination that you liked?

I don’t know why this just occurred to me, but I just recently did the Flamin’ Hot University cooking video and Chef Scotty was like, ‘Today we are going to make Hot Cheeto Fried Shrimp.’ I said, ‘What?’. And it looked like a Hot Cheeto Puff. It tasted so fire and I was like, ‘damn, why didn’t I think to do this two months ago?’  Hot Cheeto Fried Shrimp are so good.

Also, with the partnership, what are some of your favorite pieces from the merchandise line?

My favorite piece was definitely the varsity jacket or duffle bag. I love a good varsity jacket, it looks expensive and it just looks like something I would’ve worn anyway, so I was happy.

It seems like a lot of your HBCU experience really influenced this campaign. What do you miss most about your HBCU experience and what were some of your favorite parts?

The only thing I miss about my HBCU is my community. I could always see my friends. Every day felt like a party. School just didn’t feel like  ‘Oh my God, I have to get up and go to school.’ Everyone felt like my aunt or my uncle, my professors felt like ‘Damn, I really have to go to class today because they will be looking for me.’ Just walking around and seeing everyone, it’s a giant slumber party every day. I miss passing everyone in the hallway every day.

When I first went to an HBCU, I don’t even think I was taking into consideration what it really meant. I just knew my grandmother went, my mom, my uncle, and this was normal. Once I really got there and understood that these were my people and we all take care of each other, I saw some of the things that was wrong and things that my peers and I were struggling with. A lot of people that I knew couldn’t come back to school because they couldn’t pay for it. No one wanted to take out a loan. It’s a part of it, and it’s something that you have to do, but once I got into the position to help, I knew I wanted to. I am happy that I am able to help somebody’s college experience.

If Flamin’ Hot University were an actual HBCU with a live campus, band, and dorms, how could you describe that and envision it?

It would be a whole lot of hot girl sh*t, definitely. My school would be so lit. I would have Hump Day every Wednesday and my DJ would be outside. My cafeteria wouldn’t feel like you were going to a cafe, it would be like we are eating big food, real good. My dance team would be too fire. It would be a great experience and it would feel like you are at my house all the time.
