Megan Thee Stallion confesses that sometimes she’s a crybaby — especially if it involves Beyoncé.

On Saturday, Megan, 28, joined Queen Bey on her Renaissance World Tour in a surprise performance for their hometown of Houston.

It was the first time the two artists performed their collaboration “Savage (Remix)” live in front of an audience. The song was first released in March 2020 on Megan's EP Suga. After Beyoncé hopped on the remix, the duo won Grammys for best rap song and best rap performance.

Following their Saturday performance, Megan posted a TikTok featuring clips of her preparing for the stage, as well as snapshots of what she described as herself “ugly crying.”

She continued, “I would never not be Beyoncé’s number one fan. So anyways, back to the crime. Y'all me and my momma are such huge fans of Beyoncé. Like all my whole life. I was like, you know, ‘I wanna rap with Beyoncé.’ To get the opportunity to get on stage with the woman that I love, like the woman that is the woman of all the women — I was up there with Beyoncé. Footage of Megan's surprise performance first circulated on X (formerly known as Twitter) after one user filmed Beyoncé telling the rapper, "I love you, queen," to which she replied, "I love you, Beyoncé."

Ahead of the surprise performance, the Houston Hottie was set to perform in New York City over the weekend at the Global Citizen Festival. On Sept. 10, the Global Citizen Festival announced on X that the “WAP” rapper had to pull out “due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict." The New York Post's Page Six reported that the hip-hop star dropped out of the lineup at the N.Y.C. musical festival once the singer invited Megan to join her in Texas.
