Megan Thee Stallion to headline 2023 Essence Festival: How to watch, stream live

Hulu is bringing the 29th Essence Festival of Culture, which takes place this weekend in New Orleans, to your home with headliners including Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott and Megan Thee Stallion.

On Saturday (July 1) and Sunday (July 2) Hulu will have five-hour live primetime shows with performances from the Superdome and highlights from the festival's events of the day. Hulu subscribers can watch the Essence Festival at no additional cost.

As the summer rolls on, Hulu, which also streamed from the Essence Festival on Friday night, will be delivering live performances from other major festivals including Lollapalooza in August, iHeartRadio Music Festival in September, and the iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina and Austin City Limits Festival in October.

How to stream the 2023 Essence Festival

Fans can stream the event on Hulu. The streaming service can be watched on desktop web browsers, as well as apps on mobile devices and tablets, gaming consoles, smart TVs, and through set-top boxes and streaming sticks.

How much does Hulu cost?

After a free trial month, the streaming platform costs $7.99 monthly for content with ads and $14.99 for no ads. Bundled with Disney+, the cost is $9.99 (ads). Bundled with Disney+ and ESPN+, the cost is $12.99 (ads) or $19.99 (without ads).
