Megan Thee Stallion celebrated spooky season this year with her 2023 Hottiweeen event, inviting guests to a fantastical escape. The Tim Burton-themed celebration featured characters and decor in honor of the filmmaker’s widely recognized works, including Beetlejuice, Alice In Wonderland, and Edward Scissorhands. Taking place in Atlanta, where the Houston rapper headlined the 2023 One Music Festival that same weekend, celebrities and fans alike got into character for the exclusive night.
Costumes ranged from Harry Potter and Daphne Blake of the Scooby Doo series to Werewolves and Wonder Woman. The Grammy Award-winning rapper herself transformed into one of the Talking Flowers from the live-action Alice in Wonderland. With orange and pink flushed skin, Megan Thee Stallion wore a green, body suit decorated to resemble a flower stem. Her hair became bright pink petals, blooming from her face in a mane-like fashion.
With D’USSÉ cocktails in hand, guests included Victoria Monét, GloRilla, Da’Vinchi, Kash Doll, John Boyega, Ludacris, Rocko, Offset, and more.
As the Halloween holiday ends, the “Cognac Queen” performer prepares to release new music. The 28-year-old alluded to an ominous era with cryptic posts to her Instagram featuring snake imagery. Confirming “Cobra” described in the artwork as “Act 1”, fans can expect a Friday (Nov. 3) drop. “Cobra” stands as Megan Thee Stallion’s first release since her legal battle against her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, reached a settlement.
“Hotties! The real hotties, not the notties. Kinda them, too,” she detailed. “This part of my album is very much so funded by Megan Thee Stallion because we’re trying to get off… Y’all know what’s the tea. But I have no label right now. And we’re doing everything funded straight out of Megan Thee Stallion’s pockets. So, the budget is coming from me. Motherf**king Hot Girl Productions!”
