In a lawsuit filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Megan Thee Stallion’s former cameraman Emilio Garcia is suing the rapper, as well as Roc Nation and her touring company for allegedly withholding payment and creating an “abusive work environment” which includes an allegation of being forced to watch the rapper having sex with a woman next to him in a moving vehicle during a trip to Ibiza, Spain in 2022. The suit says Garcia was “embarrassed, mortified and offended throughout the whole ordeal.”

Garcia’s employment complaint lawsuit also alleges “severe” and “pervasive” harassment by the recording artist after the incident, including sexual comments and fat-shaming insults, as well as a loss of earnings. According to an interview with NBC News, after returning from the trip, Garcia said in the lawsuit, he was effectively treated as an exclusive contractor, while being on an independent contract; his pay structure was changed from a monthly flat rate, to a per-task arrangement, which he said led to a decrease in compensation for the same amount of work.

The suit alleges that the “harassment was so severe or pervasive” that it created a “hostile, abusive work environment” that made Garcia’s “working conditions intolerable.”

Per NBC News, Garcia is seeking compensation of over six figures, comprised of unpaid wages, interest, overtime and statutory penalties and wage penalties per California labor laws, as well as punitive damages, including attorneys’ fees.

Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, has employed the services of attorney Alex Spiro to handle this case, who represented her during her suit against Tory Lanez, and is a go-to attorney for Jay-Z and Elon Musk among other celebrity clients.

"This is an employment claim for money — with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her. We will deal with this in court," Spiro said in a statement to NBC News on Tuesday.

Representatives for Roc Nation did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
